This beautiful photograph was taken in Phuket, Thailand. I was staying at The Pavilions Phuket, and this was the view one evening! 
Sometimes we take for granted views such as this, or even just the smallest concept of open spaces, or sunsets.
 After living in Hong Kong, one of the busiest cities in the world, it was great getting away from all the hustle and the bustle. While Hong Kong comes along with some of its own amazing views and beaches, this truly was an amazing sunset to witness. 
I received an email one day from the resort we stayed at about a photo contest they were holding. First place received a free weekend with them. I was in! This was the photo I entered and I had my fingers crossed for the entire wait. 
Although I didn't win first place, my photo was picked to be in the top ten! It is displayed at their resort for the month of March, and on their website and Facebook. This was enough to make me a very happy person! Thanks to the resort for holding this contest and to the judges who picked my photo to be in the top ten! 

Here are my Project 365 Photos for February. I can't believe two months have already past. At the same time, I can't believe I have ten more months to go! I'm excited to see where this goes, and how I can try and force myself to be more creative. My goal is to really get out there and take some neat photos. Really push myself. I have a year to do this! Enjoy! 

I belong to an amazing Photography Group on Facebook. I've been part of this group almost three years I believe, and I've learned so much through each and every person in it. Every once and a while, we'll do a monthly Photo Challenge. It really gets us out of our comfort zones and brings forth the creativity. It also forces us to use our camera every single day, which is something we forget to do sometimes when life gets in the way.

For the 2013 year, I decided to join a 365 Project. Basically, I will be taking a photo every day, for a year! The daily theme is not picked by me but by Project 365! If you're interested, click on the link and check them out! I decided that I will take the photos with my iPhone 4s, instead of my camera. I knew that I would always have my phone with me no matter what I was doing and that it would be a bit easier to achieve! So, I will be posting them daily on my Facebook page, and monthly here! Here's January!

Recently, there was an exhibition at The Photocrafters here in Hong Kong. It was called The First "_____" Exhibition. Basically you were to submit a photo and name it The First..... 
Lucky for me the rules and requirements were not very strict at all. I heard about this very last minute and only had a day to get my photo to the other side of Hong Kong. 
This embarrassingly meant I could get not get a mat for my photo nor could I get a bigger size printed. 
However, I was able to submit my photo and having it hanging in a gallery for the first time and it still felt great. It's a very simple photo of mine, yet it still remains one of my favorites!
